As you may have noticed I haven’t been posting on my regular schedule, well, that’s because I don’t have a regular schedule anymore. On February 26th our daughter Mia was born. I have a few instant images of her here to share. Two are with my wife Dawn, and one is a solo image. I’ll start in chronological order.

This image was made using Fuji FP-3000b and a borrowed Polaroid 195 camera so I could make sure I got the exposure. I didn’t want to trust my Polaroid 250, though I probably could have.

This image was made using Impossible Project PX-70 First Flush color film and my Polaroid SX-70 Camera. I had hoped for better light, but this was the best one that came out.

This image was also made using Impossible Project PX-70 First Flush color film and my Polaroid SX-70 Camera.

I am going to try to keep posting with regularity, and with any luck I will be able to do so.

Here are two more images that I made on my SX-70 loaded with the Impossible Project’s PX70 Color PUSH film. Both are photos of Wooster Street in NYC, a place I almost called home from October through December thanks to the Levi’s Workshop. These images also suffer a bit from the magenta shift but I don’t mind it as much. However, I did shoot these before some of the most recent discussions on the Impossible Flickr page discussing how to get better colors which I will try next time.

I’ve been shooting a little bit of the new PX 70 Color Push film from The Impossible Project feeling it out and seeing how best to use it. Here are a few portraits I made while using the flash bar on camera. The first two were made outdoors with the brightness wheel in the default centered position while the third was shot indoors with the brightness wheel opened up to the first notch.  The third one is the only one in which I had severe magenta shift so far.  All in all, I like the film and plan to pick some more when my next paycheck comes through.

Long story short, my SX-70 Sonar is no more.  However, I do have in my possession a beautiful SX-70 Alpha 1 thanks to the amazing people at the The Impossible Project.  I picked it up last night as well as a few packs of of their new Color Push film.  I made this image at around 3:15pm today with the exposure adjustment wheel about 1/3 of the way into lighten.  I just scanned it now and had to share as it is the best result of the 4 frames I have made today using the new film.

Here are a few more of the Polaroid images I made while in San Francisco.  This pretty much wraps up the images I created while on vacation there.  I have one or two stragglers I haven’t prepped but will move on to some newer images with the next post.

The last image here was made on my SX-70 Sonar using TZ Artistic film

Here are a few more of the SX-70 images from San Francisco.  The first was shot downtown using my SX-70 Sonar loaded with Impossible Project PX 70 First Flush color shade film.

The next image was made again on my SX-70 Sonar but this time loaded with some of the TZ Artistic film (which I also picked up from The Impossible Project).

I’ve caught up on scanning as I have finally had some days off, so more to come soon.

Here are two shots which feature the brand new Impossible Project PX70 FF color shade film as shot through my SX-70 Sonar.  I picked this film up as soon as it came out and have only run two packs through my camera so far.  It’s a bit muted, but after talking with the kind folks at Impossible I have some tips on how to make it come alive a little more and will try it out soon and share the results.  Enjoy these for now.
