Back on Nov 1st my family joined our friends at the Queens Zoo so the kids could enjoy some outdoor time and visit the petting zoo. As it was the day after Halloween and the Dia de los Muertos there were plenty of activities going on. I brought my Polaroid 250 with me loaded with some expired 667 film that I was finishing from the day before to make some images. Below are some of the best ones. The day was overcast so the 3000 speed 667 definitely helped out.
I’ve been going through my stockpile of instant film and realized I really should be using up my monochrome film, so I have been carrying it around lately. Here are some images made since moving back to NYC both in the neighborhood where I live and one near where I work. The first four are made in Queens using my Konica Instant Press camera loaded Polaroid Sepia film stock I had left and the last is from my Polaroid 250 camera using Polaroid 667 film.
Here are three landscape images I made out on the East End of Long Island using my Polaroid 250 loaded with some Polaroid 667. It was early and cold that weekend and I think I let a few of them cook too long in order to compensate for temperature. As well, the heat in the car was cranked, so hot car to cold outside back to hot car is probably not ideal, but I actually like most of what I came back with.
